"Overall, The Camp Was Extremely Interactive And Educational. The Instructors Were Really Good As They Were Pretty Chill And Helpful. The Presentations Were Really Well Written And Well Explained By The Instructors, And They Were Additionally Helpful In Answering Questions We Had. Some Of The Interactive Activities They Had Included Debating With Pure Logic, And Debating About Abstract Concepts Like Zombie Apocalypses And Alien Invasions. I Think These Really Helped Me Refine My Skills In Front Lining Arguments, And Finding Interesting Ways To Try To Debate Against Opponents. "It Was The First Time For Katie To Attend The Debate Camp. First Day Was Long And Tired, After All Sitting In Front Of The Computer For 5 Hours Itself Is A Challenge To A 10 Years Old. I Was Suspecting Katie Would Give Up In The Middle Of The Camp, But Surprisingly Not Only She Survived, Also She Demonstrated More And More Interest Day After Day, As She Always Went Back To The Camp Earlier Before The Lunch Break Was Finished, And Always Had Discussions With Her Partner At The End Of The Day After The Camp. I Know There Must Be Sometime Attracts Her From The Camp Otherwise She Would Not Be Willing To Put Extra Efforts Into It. I Was Very Grateful To Matthew And The Team By Providing Katie Such A Wonderful Debate Training Journey, And The Post Camp Evaluation Which Is Very Thoughtful. I also like how we did drills on different parts of debate (ex: crossfire, rebuttal, etc.), so it helped reinforce the concepts we learned. "My son took the Omega public speaking classes in Spring 2021, he really enjoyed it and said it was way better than the public and debate classes from other schools he had before. So I registered him immediately after the summer camp program came out. Even though the classes were all virtual, the summer camp was so well designed, organized and executed that it exceeded our high expectation. The two week's program was intensive and requiring a lot of researching, writing and practicing with his debate partner. But he seemed to enjoy every moment of it. The teachers' constructive and honest comments helped him tremendously and made him a more competent public speaker. My son is looking forward to future activities offered by the Omega school."

This is a unique way of learning debate, but with this I was capable to throughouly understand the rules of debate, while learning a little bit of backround history with the greatly selected topics, and I am definitely better at debating now! 🙂

"All three of my kids have attended Omega Speech and Debate camp for two years. The first year they were introduced to Public Forum debate and started enjoying it, and the second year they were given further instruction as more experienced debaters. They were very engaged in the debate tournament, and enjoyed it a lot. The instructors gave great feedback and helped the kids recognize their weaknesses and strengths. I highly recommend the camp."

My daughter had no experience in debate and speech before this camp. In these short 3 weeks, her improvement was impressive. The instructors are knowledgeable and dedicated. They offered individualized coaching to everyone based on each student's level. The coaches also encouraged the students to push through the obstacles during learning and offered the opportunity for the students to continue developing their skills under the Omega travel team. Excellent camp. Great experience. Highly recommend!
